My Approach to Care

I believe in providing quality care that meets my patients right where they are in life. I have found the best results for people in pain are when they receive a high standard of treatment while feeling heard and understood. I believe my patients are worth my time and find it important to invest in their lives. This is what I call "relational care." You may have had negative experiences in the past with other health care providers, but I guarantee that you will have a positive one here.

I opened Anchor Point Physical Therapy so that I could provide relational care with each one of my patients. I have seen so many people confused, offended, and frustrated by their health care experience. It's very easy to get lost trying to navigate what the best choices are for your pain and rehabilitation. I'm here to be your anchor point. I not only want to help improve your pain - I want to educate and empower you to make the progress you desire.

About Me

I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia and my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. My orthopedic philosophy and foundation is Maitland-based and my physical therapy experience includes clinical training in manual therapy and sports orthopedics. I've had a unique combination of mentors throughout the state of Maryland who have given me expertise in manual therapy techniques of spinal and peripheral mobilization and manipulation, osteopathy, and pain science. I'm passionate about giving each patient the quality and skilled care they deserve.

Physical therapy is a second career for me. I've had a diverse work background with experience in other fields such as AM/FM radio, media relations, government contracting, and substance abuse services. This has given me a broad understanding of people and excellent communication skills to be able to meet patients where they are in their lives.

I grew up in the Severna Park area before settling in Arnold. I enjoy playing soccer and following local sports almost as much as I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys. I also take pride in being an expert blue crab backfin picker and will be happy to take on any challengers.

I look forward to meeting you!
